When I was fourteen, my father—a passionate hobby photographer—handed me my first camera. It was a Russian Zorki-4, a piece of history I still cherish today. Around the same time, I watched my neighbor develop and print his own photos in a darkroom. I was completely fascinated; from that moment on, I was hooked. Today, my Nikon Z8 is my faithful companion, rarely leaving my side.

Having experienced the entire transition from analog film and darkrooms to digital sensors and Photoshop, I’ve seen the craft evolve tremendously. Even now, as we enter the era of AI, the core of photography remains unchanged: it is still the photographer who decides where to point the lens and exactly when to press the shutter.

What do I shoot? Practically everything, though I’ve always been drawn to people in their environment. From a dazed tourist in the city to my own daughters, capturing human moments is what I love most. For me, photography is pure enjoyment.
